Open House is TONIGHT....
May 17th is our Open House. Please come and see what your child has been doing all year long. The Science & Art Fair will be in the Multi from 5:30- 7:30pm. You will also have the chance to visit your child's classroom from 6-7pm.
We hope you will all be able to make it back to our campus that night as we will be on a minimum day schedule that day!

Shoe Drive for Children in Mexico w/out Shoes: Collecting Used Shoes NOW!
We will be partnering with Creekside Church to collect any used shoes for children ages 1-12. Let's teach our students to help those less fortunate by bringing in their used shoes to the school office. All shoes will be given to children in Mexico without shoes. We will be collecting shoes through May 2012 and the basket of shoes will be picked up every Friday.

Want to get involved with our school over the summer months too?
Help support Sunset Ranch over the summer by purchasing a Cosmic cash card from our PTC. This card has over $3,000 in savings for your family and includes vendors such as Round Table, McDonalds, Leatherby's, DQ, cold Stone, Baskin Robbins, Sky Zone, Wacky Tacky and so much more! How do you get one? Return the form (below) and attach a $20 check and return it to the office before 5/27/12.
Another option is to have your kids attend PARENT'S NIGHT OUT! By dropping your kids off at Free flow from 5:30-8:30 you not only have a chance to have a relaxing time with your spouse but you are also donating 20% back to Sunset Ranch. Costs for your child to attend is $20 for the 1st child, $15 for the 2nd child and $10 for each additional child. Kids 4-12 are welcome to attend. Your child will receive a snack and drink and be able to have a great time!
PARENTS NIGHT OUT will continue during the summer and be held every 3rd Friday of the month.

What's New at Sunset Ranch?
We have been working hard to come up with ways to show how our students here are using Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math and Service Learning to facilitate learning in the classroom. This program is called STEAMS. It is still a work in progress but we wanted to show you what we have so far. We are excited to have a great group of staff members and students who are constantly trying to achieve more and make our students the best in the country!

If you currently have a 6th Grade student their will be a parent orientation for incoming 7th grade students at Granite Oaks Middle School. This orientation is recommended for parents only and will be held in Granite Oaks' Gymnasium on Monday, April 16th at 6:00pm.

We will be collecting used electronics to help raise funds for
our school. The electronics that can be
recycled her include: Inkjet and Laser Printer Cartridges,
Cell Phones, GPS Devices, iPods, DVD's, PDA's, Video Games
and Consoles, Digital Cameras, and Laptops.
Please bring these items to the Office, Library or Computer lab during the school year. |

We will continue to collect electronics as a fundraiser for our school. One of the new changes we are implementing is that all of our cell phones will be going to a local Rocklin Business. From now on, we will be working with Yakety Yak to recycle all cell phones. Please continue to bring in these items to the front office, computer lab or the library and know that once we have enough items to fill a box we will be taking them to Yakety Yak on Blue Oaks. We thank Yakety Yak for their participation in this fundraiser. |
